Collegiate Career Expo
Plan now to attend the 2009 Collegiate Career Expo! Over 30 agricultural companies and organizations will be in attendance looking for their next employee or intern. The Career Expo will run from 9 am – 1 pm on Saturday, October 24th in the East Concourse of Lucas Oil Stadium, in conjunction with the American Degree Ceremony. Plan to register early and download your resume to ensure it is included in the resume book that will be handed out to all the companies in attendance. National Collegiate Agricultural Ambassadors
Twenty college students were recently selected to serve as National Collegiate Agricultural Ambassadors. These ambassadors will spend the next year promoting agricultural awareness to different local school and community groups in their state. The ambassadors work to help their communities better understand the value and importance of agriculture and how it is a part of their daily lives. To date, over 1,300 presentations have been given to over 62,000 people since the program began in 2006.
The ambassadors went through an application and interview process before being selected. For their year of service to the program, they will receive a $1500 scholarship and the use of a digital camera, lap top and LCD projector.
